Bath Time (2014)

No matter where in the world you live, raising a baby can make a parent crazy. Just look at the American movies Another Happy Day (2024) and Nightbitch (2024) as well as global sitcoms — Australia’s The Letdown (2016-2019), Britain’s Pramface (2012-2014) and Canada’s Workin’ Moms (2017-2023) — to know what we mean. Or check out the Spanish flick Bath Time (2014). Under the pen and direction of Eduardo Casanova, this short film meshes a bright, pop aesthetic with a horror comedy plot. Margot (Macarena Gómez) dons garb inspired by the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz (1939) while Darío (Gonzalo Kindelán) is all about rocking a retro prom look. Their tongue-in-cheek story reveals how unprepared they are for the challenges of having a baby. Obviously, the stress of being awake day and night, week after week, due to their infant takes a toll on them. Their decent into insanity features plenty of fighting, but thankfully also includes some graphic forking! In one scene, Mr. Kindelán flashes his bare back and ass after his adorable pink undies are pulled down. In another, more explicit scene, his body double (real-life porn star Jorge Prado) shows off everything while having un-simulated sex. Yes, we are treated to a view of the nude dude’s pubes, cock and balls! Also known as La hora del baño, this skinternational pic features dialogue in Spanish but whenever the men are naked, there’s no need for translation. In other words, it’s all about the universal language of lust!
