Candyman (2021)

Candyman (2021) is an exciting modern remake of the 1990s classic horror film of the same name. This movie is not a direct remake as it does mention the plot of the original and has some tie-ins to that movie. Otherwise, it is the same kind of foreboding story about a misunderstood Black man in the Cabrini Green projects in Chicago who is made a monster by society who wants to believe that he is one. If you say Candyman's name three times, he appears and he is out to get you! Thankfully, the star of Candyman is eye candy for us to salivate over. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays our leading man Anthony McCoy who is an artist that becomes obsessed with the legend of Candyman...too obsessed. He starts painting pictures of Candyman and his art installation about Candyman provokes the spirit to come back to wreak havoc on white artists and art critics who don't get his work. It's an interesting commentary, isn't it? It is also interesting to see Yahya go shirtless so many times. Check out his beautiful package when he wears delicious boxer briefs. His steal cut abs and broad shoulders look absolutely stunning. He truly is a mountain of a man and we want to climb him! He is clearly the cream of Cabrini Green with a body like that. Yahya sadly does not go nude in the movie, so he is clearly hiding his goodies for another project, but we still say Yay for Yahya!
