Creatura (2023)

Creatura is an acclaimed Spanish drama that takes an artful look at how our childhood shapes who we become as adults. Director and star of Creatura, Elena Martín Gimeno, plays the main figure here, Mila. Her deep dive into her past reveals that all of the little moments she experienced as a young girl regarding human sexuality made her an adult who feels uneasy with her body. Instead of focusing on some traumatic childhood moment (of which Mila has none) Creatura explores the small ways in which young women are told to repress their sexuality as well as all of the limitations they have when they do express their sexuality. Naturally a movie about a woman's sexual desires needs a little man meat to chum the waters. Thankfully Oriol Pla fits the bill, and lends his sweet ass to Creatura with his nude scene! Pla? Yes PLAse!
