We’d love to climb David Oakes and get a chunk of this hunk’s trunk! Or, at least, tune in to his Natural History podcast Trees A Crowd. The brainy Brit studied English Lit at the University of Manchester, before graduating from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Like his esteemed alumni Daniel Day-Lewis, Olivia Colman, Jeremy Irons, Greta Scacchi, Mark Strong, and Rupert Penry-Jones, the sexy thespian found work on stage (Much Ado About Nothing, Pride and Prejudice); on film (The Garden of Evening Mists, Cold Skin); on radio (A Dance to the Music of Time); and on television (Trinity, Henry VIII: The Mind of a Tyrant, World Without End). Mr. Oakes had poetry majors in a tizzy when he was cast as Alfred, Lord Tennyson on an episode of the adventure series Bonekickers (2008). ’Tis better to have boned and lost, than never to have boned at all. The boob tube babe then played villains, such as William Hamleigh in The Pillars of the Earth (2010) and the butt-baring Duke of Clarence in The White Queen (2013) with Amanda Hale, Faye Marsay, Rebecca Ferguson, and Max Irons. If that’s not entertaining enough, David also portrayed the evil Juan Borgia while displaying his naked T&A on The Borgias (2011). Next came the regal miniseries Victoria (2016-2017) featuring Rufus Sewell, Jenna Coleman, Tom Hughes, Peter Bowles, Tommy Knight, Paul Rhys, Peter Firth, Alex Jennings, and David’s chiseled chest! Nowadays, he can be streamed via the historical saga Vikings: Valhalla (2022-present) and your fantasies!
