Denis O’Hare? More like Denis O’hey there boy! The dashing Denis can effortlessly transition from comedy to creepy with his roles, and has starred in some of the most high-profile projects of the past couple of decades. He’s been nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards, including one for his guest role as Jessie in This Is Usin 2017 (he played the character in random episodes from 2016-2018); and two for American Horror Story, once for being Stanley in 2015 and once as Larry Harvey in 2011. It’s in AHS (Denis has been in more than 60 episodes from 2011-2021) where you get to see the most naked version of the actor, when he’s in full makeup and silky lingerie as Elizabeth Taylor, enjoying fun time with Tristan (played by Finn Wittrock). You’ll also recognize him on the little screen for playing Travis March on Brothers & Sisters from 2007-2009, Russell Edgington in True Blood from 2010-2012, Judge Charles Abernathy in various episodes of The Good Wife from 2009-2016 and The Good Fight from 2017-2012, Ira Farber in Big Little Lies in 2019, and Dr. Edmund Hague in The Nevers in 2021-2022. But don’t think Denis’ gigs stop and start with TV. Nope. He’s also been on the big screen in some award-winning and high-accolade flicks, too. He’s been in 21 Grams (2003) and Milk(2008) with Sean Penn; Garden State (2004) with Zach Braff; Michael Clayton (2007) with George Clooney; Charlie Wilson’s War (2007) with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts; in two Clint Eastwood-directed projects, Changeling (2008) with Angelina Jolie and J. Edgar (2011) with Leonardo DiCaprio; The Proposal (2009) with Sandra Bullock; Dallas Buyers Club (2013) with Matthew McConaughey; The Goldfinch (2019) with Nicole Kidman; Infinite Storm (2022) with Naomi Watts and so, so, so many others. Oh, and he also won a Best Actor Tony Award in 2003 for playing Mason Marzac in Take Me Out on Broadway, and a Drama Desk Award for being Oscar in Sweet Charity.
