Veteran thespian Eddie Marsan once apprenticed at a print shop in East London. Yet he never became a printer because he decided to lend his assets to show biz instead. The choice paid off since Marsan proved to be a successful character actor. In fact, he won the London Film Critics Circle Award and the National Society of Film Critics Award for his supporting role in Mike Leigh’s dramedy Happy-Go-Lucky (2008). Through the years, Eddie collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry. He worked with Martin Scorsese on Gangs of New York (2002); J. J. Abrams on Mission: Impossible III (2006); Guy Ritchie on Sherlock Holmes (2009); Steven Spielberg on War Horse (2011); and Adam McKay on Vice (2018). Needless to say, even if you don’t know Eddie by name, you’ll recognize his face — especially in V for Vendetta, Miami Vice, The Illusionist (all in 2006); Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), Filth (2013), Their Finest (2016), Atomic Blonde (2017), Deadpool 2 (2018), Hobbs & Shaw (2019), and The Contractor (2022). While Mr. Marsan’s talent and expressive face won him parts, it is something a little further south that has us glued to the screen. For example, in The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009), Eddie removes his briefs to expose his back, ass, and balls! If that’s not revealing enough, the Showtime series Ray Donovan (2013-2020) showcases Liev Schreiber, Paula Malcomson, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, and Eddie’s naked T&A! Who knew the nude dude could be so cute!
