Some would say that you would have to be a film buff to delve into the world of German cinema of the 1960s, but we'd say that you probably just have good taste in movies!  This biopic follows one of the most influential German directors of all time, Ranier Werner Fassbinder (Oliver Masucci).  Also sometimes known as R.W. Fassbinder, this post-war child of Germany was a rebel in the art community of theater and film in 1960s, as he became the central figure in what is considered "New German Cinema" which was somewhat iconoclastic to the French New Wave movement of Godard and Truffaut of just a few years earlier.  His style was grungy, highly sexualized, and focused on the social misfits that were victims of the institutionalized violence against them.  Fassbinder was very openly gay and was a legendary partier but his personal life never slowed him down and he was still was able to churn out 44 films in only 13 years!  With his avant-garde and controversial style, he became a favorite of artists like Andy Warhol and inspired younger filmmakers like Werner Herzog and Wolfgang Petersen!  He became known as Enfant Terrible in his artistic circles, and lucky for us, he partied hard enough to inspire a biopic of his life which was tragically cut short in 1982 after a drug overdose!  Oliver Masucci takes the lead as the filmmaker, and the sexy Michael Klammer and Erdal Yildiz play a couple of his lovers and stars of his films.  We also get to see David Bredin give the director a rough and tumble roll in the hay!  All-in-all, there is no shortage of skin to cast your eyes upon and we wouldn't have it any other way for a tip of the leather cap to Fassbinder!
