Four to Dinner (2022)

So what makes a soulmate?  Is it the reflection of yourself in your partner and vice-versa, is it the fiery passion of being lovers, is it long lasting and true friendship that transcends just being friends?  Who knows... Well, if anyone on the planet was going to crack that ever elusive idea of soulmates, we'd put our money on Italy!  This feature rom-com from Italy, Four to Dinner aka Quattro metà, comes our way via Netflix and gives us a few different angles on the ever lasting love between partners idea.  In this version, we follow four friends, who in parallel and varied story lines, all pair up in different couple combinations, positing the question of who is actually who's soulmate in the exchange of friendship and love.  Since it takes place in Italy too, there is going to be nothing but the most beautiful people on the planet vying for each other's affection over time, as well as some steamy bedroom good times between the quartet of Mediterranean cuties.  Lucky for us too, the lead Lothario of the ladies in this one is played by Giuseppe Maggio, who should be a model if he isn't already.  Giuseppe plays Dario, and in a couple of scenes he loses his shirt, once in the locker room with the boys and again when he stages a fake fight with his friend in the bedroom to get his one-night stand out from under his sheets in a hurry.  We know he's a snack, but he's definitely graduated to dinner in this feast for the eyes!
