Friday Night Dinner (2011-2018)

One of those smash hit British shows that America tried and tried but just couldn't replicate, Friday Night Dinner (2011) lasted a remarkable six seasons considering each episode only centered around a weekly dinner. Airing on Channel 4, the show centered around a Jewish families' Shabbat Dinner, which takes place every Friday night. The Goodman family live in suburban London, where each Friday Jackie (Tamsin Greig) and Martin (Paul Ritter) force their sons Adam (Simon Bird) and Jonny (Tom Rosenthal) to eat family dinner. But the bros hate it so much they use dinner as an opportunity to prank each other. And since a sitcom couldn't survive with just three characters, there's a kooky next-door neighbor (Mark Heap) who always pop over at the most inopportune time, an incredibly mean granny (Rosalind Knight) who makes the boys' life a living Hell, and an old geezer (Harry Landis) who lusts after grandma. It's not all family-friendly fun and games, though! Paul Ritter proves himself to be an ageless hunk in an episode where he answers the door with no shirt on to show his fuzzy gray chest hair proudly sitting on his stern chest. He loves to be shirtless at home, and at one point his son Tom Rosenthal decides to match him skin for skin. Tom's a bit leaner and smooth as a dolphin! We'd sure love to go ham on either member of that fam! While everyone takes their shirt off, only one man on the show was willing to switch things up. Simon Bird kept a shirt on but took his pants off to flash some tight buns while talking to a man in a car. We'd sure like to eat....whatever they're having for Friday Night Dinner.
