Born September 23, 1954 in Rome, Italy, Giovanni Lombardo Radice aka John Morghen is a director, writer and actor known for his villainous yet mostly ill-fated roles in cult, Italian horror films. He began acting in his late teens. One of Giovanni's first credits was the violent film House on the Edge of the Park (1980) as Ricky. He chose the stage name "John Morghen" by using the American sounding first name "John" and his mother's maiden name "Morghen." He was initially disowned by his family once they realized he was using the name to appear in violent, offensive horror films. Giovanni's long list of credits includes parts in Cannibal Apocalypse (1980), City of the Living Dead (1980), Cannibal Ferox (1980), Stage Fright (1987), Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York (2002) and The Omen (2006) reboot. His penis and testicles are exposed while tied to a tree by savage cannibals who violently castrate him (using prosthetics) with a knife in Cannibal Ferox.
