Government Cheese (2025)

The AppleTV+ series Government Cheese takes us to a middle-class suburb in The Valley in Los Angeles in the late 60s, where a man named Hampton Chambers (David Oyelowo) has been released from prison. He attempts to return home to his family casually as if he were just coming home from a day at work, but they're not buying it. His kids and wife have moved on, and Hampton makes it his mission to get back in their good graces by developing a state-of-the-art drill that he can sell and become rich by. Middle-class aspirations must not include nudity, because Oyelowo only gets shirtless for one tepid bedroom shot. Hold the cheese, we want the sleaze!
