Dear Edward (2023)

Dear Edward is the latest heartfelt family drama from television creator Jason Katims, who is also the man behind Friday Night Lights and Parenthood. This one is about a boy named Edward who is the lone survivor of a plane crash from a flight heading from New York City to Los Angeles. He was moving out West with his family, but now goes back East to live with his aunt, played by Taylor Schilling. Edward's survival is considered to be a miracle by some and a beacon of hope by others, especially those mourning the loved ones they lost on his flight. People across the globe start to send him letters, titled Dear Edward. While much of the plot focuses on Edward and his circle, we also get glimpses into the lives of other people affected by this tragic plane crash. Most importantly, we get a homoerotic text exchange from Trent M. Williams and Dario Ladani Sanchez.
