Whether set in the past or present, productions wouldn’t be interesting without the timeless charm of Gwilym Lee. After studying English literature at Cardiff University, the clever lad received the Guildhall Gold Medal from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since then, he showed off his Shakespearean skills on stage (Hamlet, King Lear, Othello) and boob tube appeal on various British shows (Midsomer Murders, Doctor Who: The Eighth Doctor Adventures, Doctors). Boasting defined cheekbones, dreamy blue eyes, and pretty brown hair atop his head, the 6’ 2” UK babe proved he’s a natural fit for period pieces. Indeed, he donned 16th century gear for The Hollow Crown (2012); 17th century stitches for Jamestown (2017); and 1940s clothes for Land Girls (2011) and The Last Witness (2018). Mr. Lee also dressed in his 1970s and ’80s best while portraying Queen guitarist Brian May in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (2018). The Golden Globe-winning hit earned him a SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. The busy bloke could also be seen in the contemporary-set thrillers The Tourist (2010) and Isle of Dogs (2011) as well as the modern-day romantic comedy Top End Wedding (2019). But we’re more turned on by his topless turn as Grigor Dymov in The Great (2020). The 18th century costume dramedy really gets great when Lee flashes his abs in bed! Even though Gwilym’s name may be hard to pronounce, that doesn’t mean he won’t make you hard when you see his sexy chest!
