While most of us know Jerry Springer from his wild, crazy daily talk show, his actual life has actually been damn near as interesting as his show is crazy. Jerry was born in England to Jewish parents who were fleeing the war in Europe. When he was five his family moved to the United States. He went to college, then law school at Northwestern. After college he went to work on Robert F. Kennedy’s political campaign. Later, he joined a law firm in Cincinnati before starting his own firm in 1975. In the late 1970’s he ran for office and became the Mayor of Cincinnati. When a scandal with a prostitute ended his political career, he then became a political reporter for NBC. Once he was in front of the camera he knew he had found his calling. In the early 1990’s he launched the now infamous Jerry Springer Show which has aired more than 1,200 episodes
We see a shirtless Jerry in the movie Ringmaster (1998) when he hangs out with a woman in a hotel room. As they get ready for bed, Jerry strips down to his boxers letting us see his impressive upper body. All that dodging chairs on his show must keep this guy in shape.
