Inspired by the true stories of those rugged and hopefully individuals who hunted for gold in the Yukon Territory during the late nineteenth-century, the epic mini-series Klondike (2014) revolves around best buds Bill Haskell (Richard Madden) and Byron Epstein (Augustus Prew) as they pursue their shared dream of striking gold and getting rich. While the untamed environment takes its toll on the gold seekers, it’s the greedy businessmen, the tempting dames and native tribes protective of their land that provide the real obstruction to their buried wealthy. It’s on the Discovery Channel, so don’t expect a lot of skin. But we get a nugget of skin from Brian Markinson as his bath time is rudely interrupted. There’s gold in that ther bathtub!
