Mārama (2026)

The New Zealand horror film Mārama (2026) tells the story of Mary (Ariāna Osborne), an orphaned Maori woman who discovers that her roots actually go back to England. Upon arriving in Yorkshire to learn more about her family, Mary meets Nathanial Cole (Toby Stephens) who runs a palatial estate and wants Mary to work as a governess for his granddaughter Anne (Evelyn Towersey). However, the more Mary digs, the more she discovers that not all is as it seems, and Mr. Cole may have in fact murdered her parents and stolen her inheritance! Embracing her destiny, and her original Maori name of Mārama is likely going to spell doom for anyone who moved against her and her family! Although there's no nudity in the flick, we do get a sexy scene where Toby Stephens dances shirtless at a masked ball!
