Messiah (2020)

Netflix's new eschatological thriller, Messiah, series centers on the return of a would-be Jesus Christ who is either in fact the second coming or is the greatest con-man the world has ever seen.  The series has been collecting a bit of controversy as the primary character, Eva Geller (Michelle Monaghan), is a CIA analyst trying to wrap her head around Islamic, Judaic, and Christian history, theology, and mythology to figure out who is this hot brown-skinned man, Al-Masih (played by the scalding hot and surprisingly Belgium born Mehdi Dehbi)?  Is he the Messiah or the Anti-Christ???  As the mysteries and miracles around the man continue to grow, he develops a worldwide following all the way from middle America to the Middle East.  The show has everything you'd look for in a contemporary spy tale with a theological undertone, you got the sexy German-born Tomer Sisley playing an Israeli, Jason Bourne type spy, who shows us that Krav Maga toned tush while putting the blocks to the lead character played by Michelle Monaghan.  You got an out of nowhere Nude-Comer debut from the young and unbelievably sexy Sayyid El Alami, who plays a follower of the mystery man, getting fully nude in the desert and walking towards some soldiers as a show of faith.  Lastly, you got the sexy mystery Messiah himself, walking on water, straight into your fantasies with those dark eyes and features.  Jesus might have been the light of the world, but this Al-Masih character is the light in your bedroom leading you to stain-spewing salvation!  Praise the Lord and pass the hand lotion, boys!
