You can cash us outside staring at actor Michael Cashman. This London lad was born in 1950 and has been acting steadily almost since the beginning and his efforts have been rewarded. He has even been knighted and is also known as Lord Michael Cashman. How cool is that? He retired from acting in 1990 to become the Labour MEP for the West Midlands, doing a great political service to his country. That being said, he has provided a major service to his country by giving the English television viewing audiences plenty to enjoy for decades. He began his career in theater and he switched over to the TV show Gideon C.I.D. in 1964 as Syd Benson. After that, he continued acting with major roles in Crown Court, The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes, Angels, BBC Play of the Month, The Sandbaggers, Doctor Who, The Winning Streak, and many more. He has also acted in major movies like Monk Dawson, Murder by Decree, Made, X, Y, and Zee, and Unman, Wittering and Zigo just to name a few. He is best known for his role on EastEnders in 1989 when he played Colin Russell. He had a romantic relationship with his co-star and they even made herstory by having one of the first gay kisses on English daytime television.
