Nevrland (2019)

The Austrian mystery/horror flick Nevrland (2019) has nothing to do with Peter Pan or Michael Jackson. Instead, it follows a young fella named Jakob (Simon Frühwirth) as he deals with crippling anxiety and the budding realization that his true sexuality is about to be discovered by his family. Jakob's living a pretty menial existence with his dad (Josef Hader) and grandpa (Wolfgang Hubsch). His days are spent watching TV with gramps, while at night he hits the chat rooms in search of gay hookups, despite his family thinking he's straight. Eventually he'll get stuck working at a slaughterhouse, only to seek out a 26-year-old hottie named Kristjan (Paul Forman) he meets online. That might sound like a pretty normal Grindr hookup, but things are much stranger than they sound. For one thing, Jakob has a unique birthmark on his chest and Kristjan has a tattoo that looks exactly like it. This hookup will send Jakob on a psychedelic journey into the depths of his own comfort levels about his sexuality, his daddy issues, and his own imagination of what could be with the bevy of boys he fantasizes about regularly! But no matter how scary things get, nothing scares Jakob more than the idea of coming out to his parents. It's hard to think straight seeing the sexy dudes in this trippy thriller. Simon Frühwirth doesn't shy away from showing off his buns a couple of times in this one, and his steamy sex scenes with real life male model Paul Forman are definitely stoking the flames in our pants. With his brooding good looks and six-pack abs, that body is one hundred percent built for men! Simon also has a couple of background beefcake filled shower scenes at the local gym that feature the bubble butted Anton Noori in the background. The Austrians certainly know how to find some hot young talent to be featured in their thriller flicks and we for one salute their effort of turning up these scrappy boy toys for our spank bank! Mr. Man could never land a man like those dudes, but he's happy to hop online and keep trying!
