One Day as a Lion (2023)

Paraphrasing Benito Mussolini in the title of your film probably isn't the best idea anyone's ever had, but One Day as a Lion (2023) is pitched as a wacky crime caper, so at least it's got its tongue firmly in cheek! Written by and starring Scott Caan, the film focuses on wayward hitman Jackie Powers (Caan) who can't reconcile his general nice guy demeanor with his brutal day job. When Jackie is sent to shake down a rancher (J.K. Simmons), he ends up fleeing for his life from the angry man, and in a moment of desperation, abducts a waitress named Lola (Marianne Rendón). The two then concoct a scheme to fleece Lola's mother (Virginia Madsen) so Jackie can get the money he needs to get his son out of jail. 

It's a real shame Scott Caan didn't write a nude scene for his character, but at least we do get a sexy scene 50 minutes in where he nicely bulges out some tighty whities in a motel room! We'd be Lion if we said it wasn't hot!
