Please Like Me (2013)

The Australian dramedy Please Like Me is definitely likable with its compelling plot and great dudity! But it's very much not like your average sitcom, seeing how it centers around mental illness and even touches on suicide. That's not to say the show won't make you laugh as much as it makes you cry, though. Created by the show's star, Josh (Josh Thomas) is a self-centered 24-year-old who realizes that he is into men after breaking up with his girlfriend. We like it already! With his new identity as a homo-sexy-ual as well as the burden of dealing with a disapproving family and depressed mother (Debra Lawrence) Josh must accelerate his growing up as he adjusts to adulthood. Aiding him along the way are his best friend Tom (Thomas Ward) who is having a bit of a tough time dealing with the revelation that Josh is into dudes, and even an ex-girlfriend or two who will help him deal with some seriously trying times. Fans are still grieving the loss of this four-season lasting Australian Broadcasting Company show that ended in 2016. What did they like so much about the show? Probably Wade Briggs' truly gorgeous ass! Wade plays Josh's love interest, Geoffrey, and while getting ready in the bathroom we get an amazing look at his plump, smooth cheeks. Now that's how you please an audience! A man dealing with constant drama while just trying to find a hot piece of man meat to satisfy him? This dude is just like us! You can catch Please Like Me stateside on the Pivot channel, and you can catch us watching it next to a pile of crumpled tissues!
