Lambs of God (2019)

Lambs of God (2019) is a miniseries that comes from the Land Down Under. Based on Marele Day’s same-named novel, the Australian drama centers around a trio of eccentric nuns: Sister Iphigenia (Essie Davis), Sister Margarita (Ann Dowd) and Sister Carla (Jessica Barden). They reside on a remote island where time and the Catholic Church have forgotten them  — until they’re discovered by Father Ignatius (Sam Reid). He’s a sexy young priest who is tasked with the mission to survey what is believed to be an abandoned abbey. En route, he is injured so when he literally stumbles upon the nuns, they take him prisoner. Like Clint Eastwood in Don Siegel’s The Beguiled (1971) and Colin Farrell in Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled (2017), the handsome hostage arouses emotions in his female captors. We can hardly blame these ladies for their horny habits since Mr. Reid is ravishing to look at. In episode 1, the topless hottie steams up the screen when he reveals his six-pack and fair-haired pubes! If that’s not stimulating enough, Sam flashes his naked T&A while being bathed in episode 3. Meanwhile, Father Bob (Damon Herriman) is on the hunt to find and rescue Ignatius. Unfortunately, he dies in the process. But when Sister Margarita heals Ignatius’s foot, its considered to be a miracle so the abbey becomes a tourist attraction. Even more attractive is the lead actor when he appears in the buff in episode 4. No wonder Lambs of God makes Mr. Man feel like a wolf!
