Wentworth (2013-2019)

As a nation founded by throwing a ton of felons on a giant island and seeing what happens, it might not come as a huge surprise that the Aussies like shows about prison. From 1979 to 1986 a show called Prisoner was a massive hit, so it only made sense that in 2013 the idea would be rebooted with Wentworth. Set in Melbourne's all-female Wentworth Prison, SoHo's eight season lasting Australian crime drama follows the life of Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack), a middle-class woman awaiting her trial for the attempted murder of her husband. While locked up she not only has to worry about her defense and the upcoming case, but also has to learn to survive in her strange new environment. In this prison, it's all about being the "top dog" which is Jacs (Kris McQuade) at first, until her and Bea's feud leads to murder. Then, there are all sorts of candidates for the throne, including the biker Franky (Nicole da Silva) and her muscular girlfriend Boomer (Katrina Milosevic). But when the sadistic warden Ferguson (Pamela Rabe) takes over, becoming top dog doesn't mean as much as just managing to survive. Because shows about middle-class suburbanites becoming criminal badasses are all the rage, of course Bea will end up top dog at Wentworth soon enough. But don't worry if you're as horny as a dog in heat, there's plenty of skin, too! Requisite with all the catfights and kitty on kitty carnal adventures that you'd expect from a women-in-prison show, there's a prison plethora of hot dudes in Wentworth that the Aussies went crazy for. Tom Budge lets us see his fine upper body as he lies in bed and starts getting busy with a woman. She's much bigger than him, but we won't budge from our stance that it's an erotic scene. Robbie Magasiva and Luke McKenzie join in for some hot shirtlessness as well, but it's Bernard Curry who makes us purr-y when he shows his tight ass! If that guard doesn't get you rock hard, take a look at Rick Donald's derriere when he's changing in the prison guard locker room. Even if you don't care about prison shows, those asses alone make Wentworth worth watching!
