Pure Danger (1996)

Johnie Dean (C Thomas Howell) is on parole and working as a short order cook in a run down diner.  He’s got the hots for Becky, the waitress.  They try to keep things on the up and up, but their larcenous side is always close by.  A dying gangster with a bag of diamonds stumbles in for a piece of pie and a place to die and they hatch a plan to take the diamonds and run.  Makes sense, except for the two warring gangs that want the diamonds and the punks who stole them. 

There’s no time foe funny business when you’re running for your life, or is there?  Howell and Flo stop at a seedy hotel to freshen up for life on the lamb and when they do they figure it’s time for a roll in the hay.  We get some side skin and a lingering butt shot as our hero lies next to the waitress who just served him.
