To most people Rock Hudson is primarily famous for the string of romantic comedies he released opposite Doris Day in the 50s and 60s, but more and more he is becoming a gay icon for new generations of queer people. Hudson was gay, but had to stay closeted in a time when being gay was not accepted, certainly not in Hollywood. Hudson still managed to thrive under these oppressive conditions, and befriended a network of similarly closeted men. Some of these folks contribute to the documentary Rock Hudson: All That Heaven Allowed, which chronicles Rock Hudson's double life. The interviews are peppered with rare footage of Rock's life, and in this footage we get to enjoy his incredible physique in some rare Rock Hudson shirtless scenes.
