Skin on the big and small screens is the focus of several documentaries. For example, James Franco backed Kink (2013) and Rashida Jones produced Hot Girls Wanted (2015) while our very own Mr. Skin was behind Skin: A History of Nudity in the Movies (2020). Docs specifically about adult entertainment and porn stars include Wadd: The Life & Times of John C. Holmes (1999); Fluffy Cumsalot, Porn Star (2003); Reiko Yamaguchi Exposed Next Door (2009); Exposed (2013); and Dream Boat (2017). Granted, we’d be remiss not to add Seed Money: The Chuck Holmes Story (2015) to this list. Under the direction of Michael Stabile, this documentary includes interviews with John Waters, Jeff Stryker and Steven Scarborough while covering one of the most influential names in gay porn. As you can tell by the title, the flick follows Chuck Holmes (1945-2000) who went from pornographer to philanthropist. In other words, he was a giving guy on and off screen! Thanks to the massive fortune Chuck built by cofounding Falcon Studios, the blonde babe used his money to support the Human Rights Campaign, the LGBTQ Victory Fund, and the Democratic Party. Yet because of Chuck’s affiliation with porn, the latter didn’t exactly embrace him. Of course, we’d love to embrace Chuck’s fab physique which we get to see in color as well as in black-and-white. Whatever the film stock, Mr. Man enjoys watching Mr. Holmes flash his abs, sack, shaft and ass. Needless to say, this doc gets two thumbs and a dick up!
