State of Consciousness (2024)

That whole notion of pleading insanity to murder in order to escape real consequences is put under the microscope in State of Consciousness (2024). Emile Hirsch stars as Stephen, a former military man turned auto mechanic, whose life is turned upside down when a dead body is discovered in a car parked inside his garage. Unable to beat the charges due to a mountain of evidence against him, Stephen pleads not guilty by reason of insanity and is locked up in a psychiatric hospital. There, he is given an experimental drug meant to erase harmful memories from his psyche, but it isn't long before Stephen is unable to keep the line between reality and fantasy clear. Sadly, Emile Hirsch doesn't get nude in the flick, but he does have a pair of sexy shirtless scenes you won't want to miss!
