Tejano (2018)

Before he got to direct one of the less beloved films in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre universe, David Blue Garcia made a massive splash with the hugely tense border drama Tejano (2019). Set in Southern Texas, the film centers around Javi (Patrick Mackie), a blue-eyed, bilingual pretty boy who often goes over the border to Mexico to get some cheap prescription drugs and meet with his girlfriend Lorena (Mayra Leal). Things get complicated when his grandfather Arturo (Roland Uribe) gets sick, and Javi is desperate for money. Lorena's brother Adelio (Adrian Gonzalez) is connected to the Cartel world, so soon enough Javi is being recruited to act as a drug mule for a quick 10K. He works with the cartel to break his own arm so that he can smuggle cocaine over the border in his cast, only to end up pissing off Border Patrol, the cartels, and all sorts of other people you really don't want to mess with. Now, Javi is on the run and the only question is who is going to catch him. Smuggling drugs in a cast might not have been the best idea, but at least the cast of this gritty flick is super-hot. Mr. Man's favorite fella has to be Adrian Gonzalez who is very often shirtless to show off his bulging biceps. We'd cross the border anytime if it meant using out bodies to keep a dude like that from getting bored! As the smuggler we want to snuggle with, Patrick Mackie stars as the leading man and looks fine as hell. Sure, his arm is badly broken, but his chest is perfectly healthy. If that strong chest ain't broke, don't fix it with a cocaine cast! His package could be packing some extra blow to...blow as in, we obviously want to blow this Tejano's hog!
