Five years after Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi completed their trilogy, the Spidey torch was passed to Andrew Garfield and Marc Webb for their take on the Peter Parker mythos: The Amazing Spider-Man (2012). In this take on Spiderman's origin story, Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) is just a kid when his parents who come home to a break in, grab a bunch of mysterious documents, drop him off at Aunt May (Sally Field) and Uncle Ben's (Martin Sheen) house, and disappear completely. Years later, Peter's been kind of obsessed with them ever since, so when he hears that Oscorp scientist Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) was close with them, he sneaks into his lab and gets bit by a radioactive spider. From there, things are pretty standard Spidey stuff with Uncle Ben dying, Peter one-upping his bully Flash Thompson (Chris Zylka), becoming your friendly neighbor webslinger and such. But when Dr. Connors tries to test his lizard-DNA infused medicine, he becomes a giant lizard terrorizing NYC. Still pretty green when it comes to dealing with supervillains, Peter Parker has to take him down while keeping his girlfriend Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) safe. Yes, there's no Mary Jane in this one. Gwen is his main squeeze. Speaking of squeezing, British babe Andrew Garfield puts the man in Spider-Man because he is looking very macho after bulking up for the role! Andrew gets shirtless to show off his perfect pecs while Emma Stone fixes up a nasty cut. What a Marvel-lous bod! We've got a sense that scene has you tingling! After getting a look at Andrew with his shirt off, you’re going to be shooting some webs too! A worthy successor to Tobey's stuff, The Amazing Spider-Man will have you spying Andrew's incredible chest!
