The Believer (2021)

For the genius level and out of work nuclear physicist, Lucas (Aiden Bristow) and his wife Violet (Sophie Kargman), Their marriage is in the gutter a bit.  One day, the pregnant Violet decides to unexpectedly have an abortion and terminate their pregnancy without even telling Lucas.  Shortly after, his health begins to go south and Violet's behavior becomes increasingly more bizarre.  She seems to be in on a secret of some kind when Lucas' health really begins to decline.  She is trying to give him insight into some holistic style medicine along with their doctor, Dr. Benedict (Billy Zane), but everything is just getting worse.  His job hunt is going nowhere, his wife is acting crazy and somewhat violent towards him, and when strange occurrences begin to happen in their house, Lucas is convinced that something insidious is to blame.  When Violet's parents show up to help, it starts to become clear that they are not there to help, but are there to be allies in whatever nefarious and ritualistic intentions Violet has for her hubby.  It doesn't matter how hard he tries to get away, his wife is in on the evil and is coming for him in one way or another.  While our lead actor, Aiden Bristow, doesn't bestow us with any seriously sexy skin, we do get to see the distraught hottie with a body get out of the shower in one scene while he dries off a bit.  He's definitely fine enough in that steamy shower scene to make us The Believer about his ability in the bedroom!
