The Crush (1993)

Before the world fell in love with Alicia Silverstone as Cher in the popular rom-com Clueless (1995), the blonde actress starred in the erotic thriller The Crush (1993), not to be confused with the surfing adventure Blue Crush (2002), the horror flick Deadly Crush (2018) or the mystery Crush (2013). Based on actual events from writer/director Alan Shapiro’s past, this R rated pic centers around unrequited desires. The film follows Adrian Forrester (Silverstone), who is totally crushing on a 20-something writer named Nick Eliot (Cary Elwes). He works at Pique magazine which makes sense since the sexy reporter piques our interest — along with another part of the anatomy! As luck would have it, he’s renting a room at the guest house run by her parents Cliff (Kurtwood Smith) and Liv (Gwynyth Walsh) Forrester. It seems like an auspicious set up except for one small fact: Adrian is only 14 years of age! As such, Nick is interested in her older coworker Amy Maddik (Jennifer Rubin). But that doesn’t sit well with Adrian. Needless to say, she becomes increasingly obsessed with Nick and goes to drastic (even violent) lengths to ensure his erection, erh affection. Of course, we can’t really blame the girl since Nick is a total knockout. This is evident when comely Cary shows off his chiseled chest after just 13 minutes of the movie. If that’s not hot enough, the hottie also bares his bubble butt as Alicia spies on him. With that view, Mr. Man would spy too!
