The Door (2009) is a dark German film about regret and the overwhelming desire to change aspects of our past. Utilizing fantasy as a way to explore the human condition, the story follows David Andernach (the always sexy Mads Mikkelsen), an artist who tragically lost his daughter to a drowning incident. David discovers a secret door that leads him to the past, and suddenly the chance of reversing this soul shattering moment of his life becomes a reality. With a plot twist (we promise, you don’t want us to spoil this one for you), we find that reversing the past comes with consequences. Anyone who has experiences loss will identify with this film, and anyone who has experienced lust will be excited to know that Mads shows his mounds in multiple scenes. The Door?
