The Mend (2014)

The dramedy The Mend (2014) opens with Harlem hipster Alan (Stephen Plunkett) hosting a party in his trendy apartment. His life is going great until Mat (Josh Lucas) shows up and crashes the party, not knowing it was his brother Alan that was hosting the party. The estranged brothers haphazardly patch things up long enough for Mat to talk Alan into house sitting for him when Alan takes his girlfriend Farrah (Mickey Sumner) on a romantic getaway. Upon returning, Alan finds that Mat has moved his girlfriend Andrea (Lucy Owen) and her son into the apartment, the power has been shut off, and they are all effectively squatters. Tensions rise, tempers flare, and they quickly realize that sometimes people become estranged for a very good reason. Sadly there's no nudity in the film, though we do get some sexy shirtless looks at both Josh Lucas and Stephen Plunkett! Now that's some brotherly love we could get behind!
