The Perfect David (2021)

Most mothers want their child to be healthy, both mentally and physically, but for David (Mauricio Di Yorio), his mentally unstable mother demands physical perfection.  She is an artist and has it in her mind that he needs to be a professional body builder by the time he is 17 years old, so the boyishly good-looking 16 year old David spends the majority of his time in the gym, lifting weights with his massive, hulking frame.  As his birthday deadline of perfection fast approaches, he hasn't quite reached what his mentally abusive mothers deems The Perfect David body, so he turns to illegal growth substances, drawing him down a dark path with people at the gym as well as his own body dysmorphia caused by dear old mom.  Mauricio Di Yorio definitely looks great without his shirt on for a good portion of this drama and José Luis Sain plays the role of the chiseled pro bodybuilder that David emulates with aplomb!
