The Secret Life Of Us (2001)

Back in the 90's, Aussies were stuck watching stuff like Melrose Place and Friends if they wanted to see hot twenty-somethings struggling in life and love. But while those shows are classics, they didn't really reflect what life was like in the land down under. In 2001, everything changed when Network Ten aired The Secret Life of Us. Lasting four seasons, the show centered around a group of young people living together in a suburban Melbourne apartment building. There's Will (Joel Edgerton), the sexy working-class scaffolder you'd love to have folding you over, Miranda (Abi Tucker), the aspiring singer/songwriter, Ritchie (Spencer McLaren), the dude struggling with his sexuality, Alex (Claudia Karvan) the doctor, as well as the young, engaged couple Jason (Damian de Montemas) and Gabrielle (Sibylla Budd). Kelly (Deborah Mailman) was by far the most memorable character, not only because it was a groundbreaking role for an aborigine actress, but because her brutal assault by one of her writer friend Evan's (Samuel Johnson) closest buds was an extremely memorable plotline. Plotlines involving relationships and sex might not have been all that earthshattering, but this one is fondly remembered in the land of Oz. And there's one great scene to fondle yourself to. Although the show was plagued by actors leaving for film roles, which destroyed any continuity, at least there's some great nudity! Packed with good looking guys, this show delivers plenty of sex, skin and hotness. But the hottest guy on the show is also the one who'd go on to become one of the biggest actors in the world: Joel Edgerton. Although Joe left the show after the second season, he gave us a parting present. At one point in the show, Joel makes breakfast for a naked babe still lying in bed. As we get an extended look at his ass, she can't help but grab a camera and take a photo of his naked bod. Can't blame her! Edging isn't even an option when it's an ass like Joel Edgerton's! It's no secret we've replayed that scene from The Secret Life of Us plenty of times!
