Biography

If for nothing else, we’re grateful to Timothy Spall for spawning sexy Rafe Spall! Of course, that’s not all Tim has given audiences throughout the years. Early on, he flashed his flesh in the ITV series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet (1983-2004). Since then, the skintastic man covered up to entertain fans in the J.K. Rowling hits Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004); Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005); Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007); Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009); plus Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Parts 1 (2010) and 2 (2011). Timothy also appeared in big and small screen adaptations of The Three Sisters (1981), Oliver Twist (1982), Crusoe (1988), Hamlet (1996), Love’s Labour’s Lost (2000), Nicholas Nickleby (2002), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), and A Room with a View (2007). In between, he (and his bulging briefs) could be seen in the Mike Leigh dramedy Life is Sweet (1990). The two also collaborated on Home Sweet Home (1982), Secrets & Lies (1996), Topsy-Turvy (1999), All or Nothing (2002), and Mr. Turner (2014). The latter paid off with a Best Actor win at the Cannes Film Festival. Spall also scored a Screen Actors Guild Award for playing Winston Churchill in the Oscar-winning pic The King’s Speech (2010). Of course, we prefer Tim’s portrayal of British physician John William Polidori in Ken Russell’s horror flick Gothic (1986) since he briefly reveals his shaft and ass. Talk about a bone-tingler!
