Life Is Sweet (1990)

The British comedy Life Is Sweet (1990) stars Alison Steadman as suburban housewife Wendy, whose life consists of supporting her injured-on-the-job husband, Andy (Jim Broadbent), and looking after her twin daughters, Natalie and Nicola, who couldn’t be more different from each other. Natalie (Claire Skinner) is a plumber who’s planning a trip to America, while Nicola (Jane Horrocks) is a depressed bulimic. Sounds like a pretty sweet life, right? Right.
