Close My Eyes (1991)

Set in Great Britain during Margaret Thatcher’s tenure as Prime Minister back int he mid-80's, the romantic drama Close My Eyes (1991) follows the odd relationship between brother and sister Richard (Clive Owen) and Natalie (Saskia Reeves). The pair grew up separately, so they're not all that close. But when Richard visits, he finds Natalie depressed, lonely and recently dumped. Giving new meaning to the term “brotherly love”, Richard develops a full-on Lannister style crush on his sister, and luckily enough the feeling just happens to be mutual. They do a little kissing but fight off their urges as best as they can. It's not until six years later, when Natalie has married a stockbroker named Sinclair (Alan Rickman), that the pair are unable to contain themselves and do the dirty deed! As the family tree begins to quake and shake, Natalie soon realizes that their love affair cannot exist, which Richard doesn’t take well, driving him to suicidal thoughts and threatening violence. Everything gets turned on its head when Nat’s husband Sinclair discovers his wife’s affair. Since society's just not cool with siblings making sexy time together, things don't end well. Oh well. At least Clive looks hot as Hell! The movie was so controversial it cost Clive Owen a few sponsorships, but you'll understand why Natalie hopped into bed with Richard after seeing Clive's dick!
