Mad Cows (1999)

We’re crazy about the comedy Mad Cows (1999), not to be confused with the horror flick Mad Cow (2010). Under the direction of Sara Sugarman, this British romp may have Yanks in the United States adding one of the film’s scenes to their wank banks. But before we rump the bun, we mean jump the gun, let’s talk a little about the slot, we mean plot. The movie centers around a mad Englishwoman named Maddy (Anna Friel). She’s a single mother whose postnatal state of mind leads her on a quest to save the sanity of her and her baby. Along the way, we get to meet a bunch of wacky characters such as Gillian (Joanna Lumley Gillian), Dr. Minny Stinkler (Prunella Scales), Dwina Phelps (Anna Massey), Lady Drake (Phyllida Law), Detective Slynne (Nicholas Woodeson), Petronella (Hermione Norris), and Maddy’s mum (Judy Cornwell). The cast also features the dashing Greg Wise as Alex, the object of everyone’s desire — including ours! Forty minutes into the movie, the alluring Englishman flashes his flesh. While sleeping in the buff, Mr. Wise is woken up. As such, he gets out of bed and exposes his bare body! We totally appreciate the view of his nude booty and hairy chest. Alas, the Sense and Sensibility (1995) star has the sense and sensibility to cover his junk with a British Academy Film Award. Speaking of accolades, this sexy scene earned a statuette in Mr. Man’s pants. Suffice it to say, the prize has Greg’s name on it!
