Youngblood (1986)

Want to see Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayze as Canadian minor league hockey players, and Keanu Reeves making his film debut as a goalie? Then look no farther than the sports romance, Youngblood (1986). Robe Lowe is the titular Youngblood, a farm kid with dreams of making it big in the world of professional ice hockey.  Sure enough he’s offered a tryout with the Hamilton Mustangs, and wins a spot on the team despite a tense standoff with an out-of-control teammate Racki, (George J. Finn). Their star player Derek (Patrick Swayze) helps him learn the ropes, and he starts up a star-crossed romance with Jessie (Cynthia Gibb), who unfortunately happens to be the daughter of his coach, Murray (Ed Lauter). Does this crazy kid have what it takes to go all the way?

In a sports movie you’re bound to have plenty of shirtless, sweaty workout scenes, and Youngblood does not disappoint! Just 9-minutes in we get a great look at Patrick Swayze lifting weights shirtless while Rob Lowe gets patched up by the team doctor in only a  jockstrap. Then there’s more jockstrap-clad action from Rob at the 12-minute mark, as he throws off his towel in the locker room. Take a closer look and you’ll see his pubes are peeking out the side!
