Clean and Sober (1988)

It's hard to believe now, but there was a time when audiences weren't ready to see funnyman Michael Keaton in a drama, and considering his dramatic turn in Clean and Sober (1988) was released only a few months after Beetlejuice (1988), it's no wonder the film failed to make much of an impact at the box office. However, several decades later, it's easy to see what attracted Keaton to the role of charming perennial fuck-up Daryl, a real estate agent with a raging cocaine addiction who ends up in rehab after doing his drug of choice with a woman who suffers a heart attack. There are plenty of dated elements to the film, but Keaton's performance has aged incredibly well, as have his multiple shirtless scenes in the film. However, it's supporting stars Henry Baker Judd and Brian Benben who steal the show, with Benben nicely bulging out some tighty whities and Judd baring his ass during a full-on freak out in a hospital gown!
