Saturday Night Live movies are a wild series of peaks and valleys, with the vast majority of the films falling somewhere in the middle, like A Night at the Roxbury (1998)! The first of three SNL movies to feature characters from the late 90s era of the show, this flick brought Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan's Steve and Doug Butabi to the big screen, the nightclub loving brothers who don't say much and just move their heads in time with Haddaway's "What is Love?" In what would become the first of many films headlined by Ferrell, the film follows the nightlife lovers who like to boogie as they embrace their privileged lives as the sons of a real estate magnate (Dan Hedaya) which allows them to spend every night partying. Their ultimate goal, no joke, is to party at The Roxbury, the hottest club in Los Angeles, and one which they're constantly chased from by an overzealous bodyguard (Michael Clark Duncan). Through a series of circumstances, they of course gain entry to the club of their dreams, but it plants seeds of jealousy in both brothers that threaten to wrench their lifelong friendship and partnership apart. With cameos from Richard Grieco, Chazz Palminteri, and Stifler's Mom herself, Jennifer Coolidge, along with a running gag involving Emilio Estevez, this is one Night at the Roxbury you'll never forget! The real shame is the total lack of skin on display in this flick, though there are a pair of scenes where Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan stroll around in some black Speedos! That's enough to get your head bobbing!
