At Home with Amy Sedaris (2017-2020)

TruTV's At Home with Amy Sedaris (2017) was a bizarre home making/sketch comedy TV show hosted by the wonderfully weird humorist Amy Sedaris. Amy plays herself, as a sort of Martha Stewart type who hosts every episode. But the show is far from a standard baking and crafting one. Instead, each episode centers around a weird thing Amy's homemaking for, like the visit of a rich but creepy uncle wearing two monocles (Chris Elliott), the death of a beloved pet, or the sudden appearance of a crash-landed astronaut (Justin Theroux) suffering from a horrific case of PTSD. One of the wildest episodes centers around outdoor safety, with Christopher Meloni popping up as a forest ranger who goes on weird rants about how he should represent the fight against forest fires, not Smokey the Bear. He should. He's smoking! While Sedaris plays a few roles herself, the hottest episode comes when Amy has to solve a murder featuring Michael Shannon as a mysterious drifter Sedaris decides to feed. We'd stay home with Amy if it meant seeing more of the ageless Michael Shannon's smooth shirtless body when he hangs out on the couch. Who wouldn't want to cuddle up to that hottie? Funny man Nick Kroll gets in on the shirtless game when he flaunts his impressive nipples while he is in bed with Amy. Those pepperoni patches look tasty! But the best scene comes when the thin and awkward Michael Cera tries to show us how you can work out without gym equipment by doing some weightlifting with paint cans. Mr. Man will pass on homemaking, but would love to make it at home with the dudes from this show!
