Ben Hur (2010)

The classic big-screen blockbuster comes to the boob tube with the miniseries adaptation Ben Hur (2010). Not quite as star studded as the 1959 Charlton Heston classic, ABC's take on the story stars Joseph Morgan from The Vampire Diariesas Judah Ben-Hur, a wealthy Jew living in Jerusalem who grows up alongside the son of a big deal Roman politician, Messala (Stephen Campbell Moore). They were best buds as kids, but after a few years apart Messala has hardened into a cold and ambitious man assigned to protect Pontius Pilate (Hugh Bonneville). When he returns to Jerusalem to prepare for Pontius' arrival, he demands that Ben Hur keep him informed about any possible threats to the ruler. But when a horrific accident nearly kills Pilate as he enters the city, Ben Hur’s life will never be the same again. Taking the blame, he ends up a slave, starts hearing about a fella named Jesus making a splash around the area, finds out what a monster Messala has become, and decides the best way to get revenge is by beating him in a chariot race. Critics were mixed on this one, with some claiming it stripped the religion out of the story and others mocking the decision to have the chariot race spill out onto the streets like something from a Fast and the Furious movie. But Mr. Man would be more than happy to get biblical with the sword and sandal sex machines in this one! Stephen Campbell Moore looked pretty sexy having a rich kid soak in a hot tub alongside his old friend Joseph Morgan. Mr. Morgan was willing to further, flashing his ass while taking an outdoor shower as a woman ogles him. Later, we see that she's made him her sex slave and that he's doing the job quite well! Talk about Hur pleasure! He must be so ripped from all that rowing, since Miguel Angel Munoz is just as muscular when he does some showing while shirtless in the boat. There's not as much gay subtext as in the Gore Vidal penned original, but the miniseries of Ben Hur will still have men hurd!
