Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)

Bridget Jones's Diary (2001), based on the titular book by Helen Fielding (and perhaps a smidge of Pride and Prejudice) stars Renee Zellweger in one of her most hilarious and iconic roles. The story goes a little something like this: Bridget is awkward and constantly struggling to keep her life together like the rest of us. She's infatuated with her boss Daniel (played by Hugh Grant), who is a huge asshole, and she despises Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), an uptight family friend she keeps running into. Coinceidentally, the two guys are enemies, which is made all the more compicated when Bridget and Daniel start dating. The love triangle that unfolds in painfully awkward and hilarious, made better by how damn attractive both Hugh and Colin are. Mr. Firth may not strip down during this film, but we get to see a few great shots of shirtless Hugh when he's rolling around in the sheets with Renee! Alas, the butt is from a body double—but hey, we'll take it.
