Columbus Short set his sails for showbusiness at the tender age of three by putting on performances for his family. This was no pipe dream (unlike our current fantasies about Columbus), as he and his family relocated to Los Angeles, where young Columbus began acting in commercials and theater. The ship had landed...and then set off again! Columbus graduated from high school two months early to slay an innocent world with the thunder of his thighs in a traveling production of "Stomp," which led to a stint as choreographer in the glittery waters of Britney Spears' "In the Zone" tour. From there, Columbus traveled throughout Hollywood, landing in movies like You Got Served (2004), War of the Worlds (2005), Accepted (2006), Save the Last Dance 2 (2006), Stomp the Yard (2007), Quarantine (2008), Death at a Funeral (2010), and Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming (2010), TV shows like ER, Judging Amy, That's So Raven, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and Scandal, the music videos Ne-Yo: One in a Million (2010) and Keri Hilson Feat. Rick Ross: The Way You Love Me (2010), and the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004). Columbus has circumnavigational talent: he can act, direct, dance, write, sing, and take his shirt off with the best of them. Yes, this captain of your ship is all things topless as the character August in The Girl Is in Trouble (2015). Hopefully on his next voyage he loses his pants.
