The Girl is in Trouble (2015)

There are some skintastic thrills to enjoy in the small screen thriller The Girl is in Trouble (2015), not to be confused with the big screen dramedy Women in Trouble (2009). Under the pen and direction of Julius Onah, this video-on-demand release includes Spike Lee as an executive producer. The tightly-wound crime story centers around August (Columbus Short), a Nigerian-American working as a bartender and DJ. The action kicks in when he finds evidence of a murder involving drug dealer Jesus (Kareem Savinon) and a billionaire’s son, Nicholas (Jesse Spencer). Desperate for cash, August tries to blackmail the killer. But that plan backfires since Nick, Jesus and now Angel (Wilmer Valderrama) go after him with his girlfriend Signe (Alicja Bachleda) caught in the crossfire. We won’t tell you if the Fixer (Mike Starr) or Grandma (Míriam Colón) can help, but we will say there’s a fair amount of flesh flashed. For starters, Mr. Columbus displays his ebony chest while his girl rides him in bed as well as during the morning after. Luckily for us, a hunk called Jeremy (Mike Ivers) goes further, showing off his bare back and firm buns as he plows a woman in a decrepit bathroom stall. And they say romance is dead! The camera tilts down and we get a “blink and you’ll miss it” closeup of his gyrating tush. In other words, keep one hand on the pause button. What you do with your other hand is up to you.
