Sarah Jessica Parker has finally returned to HBO, but this isn't the glamorous, optimistic-even-when-life-is-bleak comedy that was Sex and the City. In fact, if SaTC was the build up to marriage, Divorce is (quite obviously) the unraveling of it, complete with a house in the suburbs, two teenage kids, and a slowly building midlife crisis that will cause her character Frances to call her marriage with hubby (incredibly played by Thomas Haden Church) off entirely. Even though it's far from warm and fuzzy, the sardonic show is still funny and for many, very accurate. A desolate Frances finds time for a hot-and-heavy affair with granola maker Julian (Jemaine Clement), who goes shirtless for a sex scene in the pilot! Will a tumultuous suburban split like this, we're fairly certain we're in for a skin-filled ride.
