How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life) is a long title for a short-lived show. The comedy lasted only one season despite the fact that it cast hit sitcom stars: Brad Garrett from Everybody Loves Raymond (1996-2005) and Sarah Chalke of Roseanne (1993-1997), Scrubs (2001-2010) and How I Met Your Mother (2008-2009, 2014) fame. Nevertheless, it was good while it lasted. Not to be confused with the small screen sagas How to Get Away With Murder (2014-2019) and How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) (2019-2021), How to Live with Your Parents aired on TV in 2013. Thanks to creator Claudia Lonow, this “how to” series centers around an uptight mom named Polly Green-Tatham (Chalke). After she and her husband Julian (Jon Dore) divorce, circumstances force her to move back in with her mom Elaine (Elizabeth Perkins) and dad Max (Garrett) Green. While Polly is on the anal side, her parents are relaxed (maybe a little too relaxed). As a result, Polly finds herself at odds with her folks’ flower power ways. Of course, Mr. Man appreciates hippie-dippy habits, especially if it includes free love and no clothes. Fortunately, we get to see a topless Mr. Garrett washing his hairy chest in the shower. As you can bet, imaginative viewers will find this scrub-up scene a little dirty! Even with the help of guest stars Carla Renata, Michele Lee, Michael O’Keefe and Reid Scott, the sitcom was canceled. Still, we’re hoping for a reboot with some nude booty!
