Everything Sucks! is a love letter to 1996, complete with endless VCRs and Alanis Morisette ballads. The focus is on two 9th graders, Kate and Luke - Kate is gay and Luke is in love with her. You can see the issue there. Interestingly enough, their parents are also dating, and Kate's dad is the school principal (played by Patch Darragh). During some of their trysts, Patch gets shirtless, showing off a whole new kind of dad bod!
